This is something that I have tried at different times in my life but never for a lengthy period of time. I am using ExpensePro on my Palm Treo to log my everyday expenses. I plan on doing this for a month or so or maybe even longer. It will be interesting to see where it is all going.

    One of my 2007 financial goals is to keep track of all my spending for the whole year. I've done it for a month or 2 in the past, but I decided this year to do the full 12 months! Sometimes it can be a pain, but each month, I get excited to see where my money is going Smile

    This year I am also keeping track of all my purchases. I've done it in the past but only lasted a month or two (just like Househopeful). This year I've made it four months and I'm still going strong.
    It's been an eye opener. For example, I can tell you weird things like exactly how much I have spent on Cheese in 2007 or cat litter or toilet paper!

    I use a PDA to keep track of my expenses too. I use My Checkbook, which is freeware.
