Good Personal Finance Books?!

May 7th, 2007 at 10:15 pm

Can anyone recommend any good personal finance books? I have a few already:

Dave Ramseys' Total Money Makeover
Your Money or Your Life
Start Late Finish Rich (?)
Suze Ormans' The Nine Steps to Financial Freedom

Basically I know about the main ones by Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman. Any others worth mentioning?

The Millionaire Next Door is one of my favorites. It's not so much about personal finance, except that it let's you get an idea of how true millionaires live so you can try to model your own finances after them. It was really eye-opening and one that I'll read over and over.

I would like to add what is probably the "bible" of personal finance books "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S Clason. Smile

All of the above. The Wealthy Barber was an easy read. You can also get audio books from the library. It's great when you're on the road. I've been reading one book a month. I also liked Joe Dominguez's book ,
Your Money or Your Life. I also like All Your Worth. It's also an easy read. I have also read Rich Dad Poor Dad.

I like The Automatic Millionaire, Smart Couples Finish Rich, and Smart Women Finish Rich, which I think are worth the read whether or not you are part of a couple or not a woman. I liked them better than Start Late Finish Rich and they are all by the same author.
